Dear Timberville Residents: Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River recently mailed an informational brochure related to the health of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River and its impact on the drinking water supply for those municipalities that use the North Fork as their source water. Timberville was named as one of the towns that uses river water for their drinking water supply. However, this is not correct. While a number of the towns draw drinking water from the North Fork, other towns, including Timberville, draw their drinking water from springs and/or groundwater. Friends of the North Fork regrets this mistake and apologizes for any confusion that has arisen. Sincerely, Leslie Mitchell-Watson Executive Director Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River
